On Your Anniverary

Good morning all.  Hope you had a good weekend?

We start a new challenge over at Crafting from the Heart today.

Our theme is the usual
always anything goes

I started by stamping out my sentiment onto white card using a black versafine ink pad and then clear embossed it.  I then die cut it out.

I then die cut the heart out using peach card and backed it onto white card.  I die cut a heart shape into a piece of white card 8" x 7" and embossed it using the interlocking circles embossing folder.

I cut a piece of peach card 8.25"x 7.25".  To this I fixed my white embossed card using some foam pads.  I then inserted my sentiment heart followed by the peach heart.  This was also fixed using foam pads to give it further depth.

Using some vellum I stamped my flowers using perfect medium and embossed them with Graceful Peach Lustre embossing powder and cut them out.  I cut out 6 large and 6 medium, pinching them at the ends and then assembling them.  Finishing off with a peach pearl in the centre.

Once my card was fully assembled I finished off by putting some pearl nuvo drops into the centre of the interlocking circles on the embossing.

I finished off by stamping the anniversary sentiment using a stamp from Dimensions onto white card and die cut it using flag die from Sue Wilson again in black versafine ink and clear embossing powder.

Bev's Birthday

Good morning all. Hope you are all enjoying the bank holiday.

Today I would like to wish my sister-in-law Bev a lovely birthday and hope she has a special day planned to celebrate.

Her birthday card was made  using the following: -

Pixie Powders for background - I used acetate, covered in dries clear glue which I misted and then added my pixie powders, misted again and then placed some tissue paper onto it, pressed that down so it was fixed (press don't rub) then leave to dry.  This was a technique I learnt from Julia Watts so she may have a tutorial on her blog.

Tangy Tangerine ink mists & embossing powder from Phill Martin Cosmic Shimmer range to stamp and emboss the flowers which are Layered blooms stamps from Honey Doo Crafts.  I also ink misted a piece of card for matting and layering.

Cosmic Shimmer ancient copper detail embossing powder to stamp the sentiments using Chalkboard Relatives & Lavish Leaves Corner stamps from Phill Martin.

The background die and leaves are from Sue Wilson.

Hope you like your card Bev.

Thank you all for visiting today.  Take care.

Roses in Milk Bottle

Good morning folks.  Hope you are enjoying this bank holiday? Aren't we having lovely weather, given this is Britain we probably need to make the most of it while we have it - LOL.

Well today we start a lovely new challenge at Crafting from the Heart.

Our sponsor for this challenge is

The digital stamp I chose to use from our sponsor is called 'Roses in Milk Bottle'.

After printing our my image I coloured it using my distress ink marker pens.

The frame I have used a stencil and Colour Cloud Tangy Tangerine from Phill Martin's range.  To die cut the frame I used dies from Sue Wilson and Creative Expressions - double pierced rectangles sets A & B.

I have only used white card on this project so for the blue mat I inked around the edges with Distress Ink Mermaid Lagoon.

The sentiment was a stamp from my stamping stash and versafine ink.

Why not visit our challenge blog by following the link HERE to see more ideas from our design team and also to enter your own project into the challenge.

Thank you for visiting today.  Thank you also for any comments you choose to leave, I do love reading them.  Take care.

Cowboy Cactus Planter

Good morning all.  We start a new challenge at Crafty Girls Creations this morning.

Our sponsor is

The digi collection I have used is called 'Cowboy Cactus Planter' This is a super collection that comes with coloured and uncoloured images plus lots of sentiments.

On this card I have used all white card.

I coloured my digi image using copic sketch markers and then fussy cut it with my BSC.

My background is made using a 7x7 mask from clarity and Frosted Mink Crackle Paste which is new from Cosmic Shimmer and Phill Martin.  It is THE most easiest crackle paste to use, you just spread it and leave it to dry.

Whilst that was drying I inked around the edges of a piece of white card with Decadent Oak Colour Cloud, again from Phill Martin's range.

I also printed out my sentiment and die cut it using tags from Sue Wilson.

Below is a page from the insert I placed inside the card.  This was produced in Serif Craft Artist, the image is one of the coloured ones and a PNG which was great for this.
