I coloured her in using a mixture of Copic Sketch pens for Sassy and Sakura gel pens for the wreath.

My background card was designed in Serif Craft Artist and I used a mixture of a couple of Christmas digi kits.

I then printed my card out and added my coloured image.

Hope you like my sample.  To see more samples from our design team follow the link to our blog HERE.  Don't forget to enter your own design whilst you are there.

A Tower of Gifts

Good morning.  How are your Christmas preparations coming along?  Not long now and I am a happy bunny as I have finished work now until the 4th January 2016. YIPPEE.

Going out with my Mom today.  We have a trip to the hairdressers and then lunch and maybe a little Christmas shopping.

A new challenge at Crafty Girlz begins this morning.

Challenge 10 has a theme of 'Christmas Sparkle'

Our sponsor for this month is

I have used a digi image called 'A Tower of Gifts'.

Once I printed my image and coloured it in using Sakura pens,I  fussy cut it using my BSC and a 1mm border.  I then cut a mat in black with a 2mm border.

I decided to make it into a tag so I chose a tag shape from my library of shapes in my BSC.  I sized it and put a seam allowance around it.  I then added the same shape again, sized it but did not add a seam allowance.  I put my two pieces of card onto my mat, scanned them and moved my images onto the relevant card and cut.  Perfect mats.

I embossed my smaller tag using a free embossing folder I had from a magazine of snowflakes.

I added some gold organza ribbon and a bow plus a flower onto the bow and finished off with some Tonic Nuvo glitter pearl drops - the copper colour.

If you want to see more samples from our design team and enter your own project into our challenge please follow the link HERE.

Thank you for visiting and I do hope to see you again soon.

Poinsettia Fairy

Good morning all.  How are you all today?  Well December is here, how's the Christmas shopping going?  I made a good inroad whilst I was away last week.  Couple more bits and hubby to sort out and I will be done.  He is the most difficult, honestly, I never know what to buy him and getting it in the house is a nightmare given he is retired and gets to the door first!

1st of the month means a new challenge starting at Creative Ladybirds Creations.

Challenge No 10 is Anything Goes

Our sponsors are: -

For my card this month I chose an image from Ikes World called Poinsettia Fairy.

After printing her out I coloured her in using a mixture of copic sketch markers for the skin and Tim Holtz markers for the flower garland and hair.

I have used white base card 21cm by 21cm in size and used Creative Expressions Noble Collection Double Pierced Squares Set B Dies for matting and layering.  My final layer I have used pearlescent card and a poinsettia embossing folder.

I scanned my image into my BSC and put an oval around it to cut it out.  I then designed the frame and cut that out in pearlescent card too.

My poinsettia flowers are dies from Tattered Lace as are the ivy die and the branch die.

I think she is a lovely image and to be honest although I have chosen Christmas colours she could be used for any occasion as the flowers could be coloured in different colours and would become lillies or clematis.

Take care.

The image I have used is 'Candy Cane Fairy' digital stamp from our sponsor.

I imported my digi stamp into serif craft artist and used the cut out studio to remove the white from her dress then I imported a backing paper from a Christmas digi kit.  I then printed her out and used my BSC to fussy cut her with a 1mm seam followed by a gold mirri mat with a 2mm seam.

I then finished colouring her in using a mixture of sakura and copic sketch markers.

I have glittered her wings and the fur around her dress and boots.

My base card is 8x8 and cream with some gold pearlescent card as a mat.

I die cut another piece of cream card using Sue Wilsons new Noble double pierced square dies followed by a frame using the same dies in the gold pearlescent..

My backing paper is from a digi kit in serif.

The poinsettia flower is a die from Tattered Lace and the leaves were from Sue Wilson Maidenhair dies.

Warm Love

Good morning.   Not looking forward to this morning given I have just returned from a wonderful week away down in North Devon with hubby and Enya.  But looking on the bright side, Christmas has arrived for us, tree is up and resting ready to be decorated tomorrow and I only have two weeks to work before I stop for Christmas which is wonderful.

We have a new challenge starting at Get Creative Challenge

Challenge 29 with a Holiday Theme

My choice of digi for this challenge is called 'Warm Love'.

Again I have used a combination of copic sketch makers and sakura gel pens.

I found a beautiful layout on facebook and have stolen the idea which the lady who owned the card did not mind at all.  Crafters are always so generous and sharing.

I have used a cream base card followed by some red card and another piece of cream card which I have embossed using a poinsettia embossing folder from Sue Wilson.

I then matted my image onto some red card,  Printed out some patterned paper from Serif Craft Artist matted onto some red card all wrapped with a piece of red organza ribbon and another perfect little bow, well I think it is - tee hee.

I have die cut lots of winter leaves using spellbinder dies in gold mirri card.  I also made a sparkle using my glue gun and some white tonic glitter.  I then finished it off with some nuvo tonic pearl drops in red.  Yes, I know, I do love them there pearl drops.

Christmas Gift Mermaid

Good morning crafters and followers.  Thursday has arrived again, a day I love I have to admit but that is because my weekend starts once I finish work at 4ish.

We start a new challenge today at Crafty Girls Challenge.

Challenge 9 theme is 'Anything Goes'

Our Sponsor is

The image I have used for this challenge is called 'Christmas Gift Mermaid'.

I always print my images out in Serif Craft Artist.  This time I took my image into the cutout studio and removed the white in the dress/trail.  I then inserted a piece of material, gold and lacy, behind my image and printed her out.

I coloured her in using a mixture of copic sketch pens and sakura gel pens, inked around the edges with Tim Holtz ink and matted my image onto some red mirri  card..

Because I had printed my image out quite large, this time I actually made my card base around my design so it is an unusual size, but then I intend this card to be hand delivered so will be making a box.

I have matted some cream card, pricked around the edges, onto a cream card base, followed by some red mirri card.  I used some red crinkle organza ribbon around the middle and then placed my topper onto my card.

I have had a tattered lace bow maker for some time but for some reason today it all just clicked and I made a lovely bow, even if I do say so myself.  I topped my bow with a flower made using the christmas rose stamp from Chloe Creative Cards and embossing in gold WOW powders.

The two die cut flourishes were cut using gold mirri and Sue Wilson dies and I finished off my card with nuvo tonic pearl drops in red.

I used an image from our sponsor called 'Mixie' and she is a delightful little Mixie'

I coloured her in using a mixture of copic sketch markers for the hair and skin with Sakura pens for the clothing to give that bit of sparkle.

I then die cut her using spellbinders circle die and matted onto some blue mirri also a spellbinders die.

I have started with a 7x7 cream base card, matted some a mat of cream which I have pricked around the edges.  I then matted a smalled piece of pealescent blue card which has been embossed using a music embossilicious embossing folder.

I cut a smaller piece of cream card which I die cut using a border die from Sue Wilson.

My flowers were stamped using 'Christmas Rose' stamp from Chloe Creative Cards and some WOW powders also from Chloe.  The leaves were dies from Sue Wilson which after cutting and embossing I inked through the die using one of the new blue colours from Tim Holtz.

I then finished off with some nuvo pearl drops in the silver.

Good morning all.

We have a new monthly challenge starting today at Crafty Girlz Challenge.

Challenge 9 has a theme of 'Wintry'

Our sponsor is: -

I am using a digi stamp from our sponsor called 'We Three Kings' which was just a pure delight to colour in because you can't help but smile at the image all the time you are colouring.

I did my usual of fussy cutting using my BSC, and also cutting a green mat at the same time.

I then coloured the image in using a mixture of chameleon pens and sakura pens, well you have to have some glitter at Christmas.

My backing paper was from a Christmas digi kit in Serif Craft Artist as was the back topper of a house window and door.

I then finished it all off with ribbon, a sentiment stamped and embossed using wow powders and gold nuvo tonic pearl drops.

To see more samples from our design team and to enter our challenge for a chance to win a super prize from our sponsor follow the link HERE.

Happy 1st Birthday Get Creative

Good morning.  We start another challenge at Get Creative Challenges and we are celebrating our 1st Birthday  - whoopee.  I have to admit I have thoroughly enjoyed my first 12 months on the design team.  It has been such a pleasure to work with digi stamps from many fantastic and generous sponsors.  It has also been an enormous pleasure seeing your creations every challenge.  They have been brilliant.

Challenge 27 theme is Birthday

Our sponsors are: -

AND

Angies Cards & Digis

I used a digi stamp from Polka Doodles called Dollie Daydream - Birthday Digi Stamp.

After printing out Dollie my BSC fussy cut her out and I coloured her in using copic marker pens.

I have used an 8x8 base card.  Matted and layered some sea green card followed by some patterned paper printed from serif craft artist digi kit.

I then cut another piece of sea green card and die cut an aperture using a spellbinders die, followed by a piece of white card slightly smaller and again die cut an aperture with the same spellbinders die.  I embossed it using an 8x8 embossing folder from embossilicious (crafters companion).

My flower is a stamp from Chloes Creative Cards. This comes in three sizes and I stamped 2 large, 2 medium and 2 small on parchment using a teal cosmic shimmer embossing folder from Phil Martin's range.  A white pearl in the centre finished off my flower, which sits on two swirls die cut from a die which was a freebie on a tattered lace magazine.

Brighten The Holidays

Good morning folks.  Hope you are all well.

We start a new challenge this morning at Crafting from the Heart.

Challenge 84 theme is 'Always Anything Goes'

Our sponsors are

AND

I chose a digi stamp from Sparkle n Sprinkle called 'Brighten the Holidays' which when I saw it just made me smile so much.  I think they are super cheeky chappies and were a delight to colour.

If you purchase the set you will receive a digi stamp, a coloured image and two sentiments which is brilliant value.

Once I had printed out my image I used my BSC to fussy cut it out on the direct to cut facility with a 1mm allowance.  I then increassed the allowance to 2mm and cut a red mat and also increased the allowance to 3mm and cut out a blue mat.  This is the beauty of 'Brian'.

I coloured the super little chaps in using my copic marker pens and have also put some white glitter for the fur on their ear muffs and mittens.

I have used an 8x8 base card followed by another piece of white card which I have pricked around the edges.  My merry christmas backing paper is from serif craft artist digi kit.  My lights backing paper was designed by me in serif craftist using a string of lights in the embellishments and the stamp mode.  This was matted onto some navy card.

I matted a piece of white card which I embossed with an embossing plate from sizzix onto some red card.  My sentiment came with the digi stamp that has also been matted onto some blue card.

I then finished off my card with some blue ribbon, a bow and some nuvo pearl drops.

Winter Cardigan Shoujo.

Good morning folks.  Hope you enjoyed your Halloween, if you celebrated it I know some do and some don't.

Today we start a new challenge at Creative-Ladybirds Creations.

Challenge 9 is Anything Goes.

Our Sponsors are

I have chosen a digi image from Lemon Shortbread this challenge called Winter Cardigan Shoujo

Once printed I scanned her in to my BSC on the 'direct to cut' and fussy cut her out with a 1mm allowance.  I also cut a mat in red with a 2mm allowance.

I coloured her in using copics. When I was colouring I hadn't got a clue what I was going to make.  I am suffering with a cold and to be honest was feeling pretty miserable so I chose the colours that cheered me up.

I decided to make a C5 card and matted some red onto my base.  I then cut a white mat on 'Brian' my BSC followed by a square mat of paper which was from my crafty stash.

My flower is Christmas Rose stamp from Chloe Creative Cards using WOW Sparkling Snow embossing powder.  I stamped 2 large and two medium onto red parchment. Once cut I put a valley fold down each leaf.

In the centre is a sparkler, which I made using my glue gun and some glitter.  I splodged some glue onto my glass mat and covered it with white glitter.  If you have watched Jodie Johnson from Tonic Studios on Create and Craft - she came up with this idea.  Definitely cheaper than buying them.

The leaves are ivy leaves from Sue Wilson Creative Expressions.
To finish I used red nuvo pearl drops.

To see more samples from our design team, and to enter your own creation into the challenge follow the link HERE to our blog.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and for a any comments you choose to leave they are always much appreciated.

Take care and see you soon.

Simone & Lee's Wedding Day

Good morning folks.
Roll on 4pm when I finish for the weekend, that sounds terrible really as I haven't started  work yet given it is only 7.30am and I have just realised I forgot to schedule my post, but it has been a long week for some reason.  Gosh I am thankful I don't work Fridays.

Today starts a new challenge at Crafty-Girls Creations.

Challenge No 7 is Anything Goes

Our sponsor for today's challenge is

My card today was an order from a mate at my slimming world meeting.

Other than cards for personal use or design team samples I do occasionally take orders, mainly from friends and family as I prefer to specialise in personalised cards so when Marlene wanted a mixed race wedding card I was a little nervous mainly because I had not coloured an ethnic image before.

I knew I had seen a wedding digi stamp at Mo's Digital Pencil and she has a substantial multicultural section.  So I headed on over to her website and checked out the image and was pleased to see that the groom would suit for my purposes as my bride was black and my groom was white.  It is a lovely image and I used my copic markers and my copic instructional colouring book for colours for my bride.

My image is called Wedding Couple B.

Once finished I left it for a while and went back to it I was quite pleased with the results.

My die cut flowers and leaves are from Creative Expressions as is the strip for my names.  My frames were cut using my BSC and my embossing is from an A4 embossing folder.

The names were die cut using a free alphabet die from my tattered lace magazines.

I also made a box to go with the card, the insert was produced in serif and I placed some tissue paper inside too.

Marlene said she was thrilled with it much to my delight.

To see more samples from our design team and to enter our challenge please follow the link HERE.

Thank you for visiting my blog today and I do hope to see you again soon.  Thank you also for any comments you choose to leave they are always much appreciated.
