I hope to be back in 2013 as soon as I get the go ahead from my consultant to begin crafting again so hopefully you will keep coming back and following.

Mince Pies Anyone?

I have deliberately scheduled this card to be my last but one before the big day.  I usually bake my mince pies on Christmas Eve, it is sort of a tradition in our house but this year I will have to settle for bought ones because of my shoulder op. I am soo catching up on my reading though I have to admit and directing hubby in household chores - hee hee things are all bad.
My topper today is from the winter swalk range from crafters companion and this makes such a suitable card for any man don't you think.  I have stamped him onto watercolour card and used my whisper pens to watercolour him in.  The backing paper was a freebie from the making cards magazines that I have collected over the last few years.  I sincerely hope you are all having lots of Christmas Joy and thank you so much for stopping by and commenting.  Do take care.

Christmas is Coming

Hi ya folks.  Hope you are all well.
Hopefully my shoulder is on the way to recovery, as this post was scheduled pre op I am hoping, believe me as by the time this is posted I will be in serious craft deprivation mode as I won't have done any crafting since November!!!!!!!!!!!
Today's card is using stamps from the Jayne Nesterenko stable - Adorables range which I had last year and are a range that will come out year in year out because they are so Adorable.
I stamped the tree using green versafine and clear embossed it.  I then stamped the little girl and her brother onto watercolour card again using black versafine and clear embossed.  I coloured them both in with whisper pens and cut them out before placing them against the tree with silicone glue.  The parcel topper also came in this set of stamps and was stamped using versafine and clear embossing powder but I colour this one in using sakura pens to give it a bit of sparkle.  The snowflake is Marianne die as is the swirl.
Thank you for stopping by and do take care.

Friends at Christmas

Another scheduled card.  How are you all, well on the way with your Christmas preparations I hope but also taking some time out for yourself too, you deserve it.
I have used a swalk stamp on this card.  She was from the Swalk Winter range released by crafters companion this time last year I think but swalk stamps are so beautiful I couldn't resist getting them all back out this year.
The flowers are spellbinders and Marianne dies and the swirls are Marianne dies.  My image was coloured in with spectrum noirs and I have glittered fur around her had although that may not show up in this photograph.  Photography is definitely not one of my strengths.
Hope enjoy this one.  Thanks for stopping by and for your comments.  Take care.

Hugs and Kisses

Hi folks, hope you are all well.  This is my final DT card for the December challenge over at My Craft Creations.  Hope you will pop over and have a go, remember you have to be in it to win the prize.
This card was made for the challenge but as a birthday card however, if I had changed the colours I could have used it as a Christmas card too.  These flourishes are very versatile but, and you are going to be very annoyed with my, I cannot remember where I got this stamp from.  Big Sorry folks.
The sentiment is from creative expressions and was stamped using black versafine and them clear embossed.  The flourishes were stamped and also clear embossed.  I have also matted sentiment onto some co ordinations card, embossed and sanded down.  All finished off with some card candi.
I do like playing with sentiments at times and they can look so good.  Hope you like this one.  Thanks for stopping by and do take care.

Poinsettia Garland

Good Day to you all.  I do hope my posts are appearing as they are all scheduled until January 2013 as I am recuperating from a shoulder op and am unable to use it at the moment.
My post today is my 2nd DT card for the new December challenge at My Craft Creations.  Do pop over and have a go.
I started with a 6x6 plain white card, matted some red card followed by some more white card which I also embossed using a holly embossing texture plate from sizzix.  I stamped my sentiment with WOW glitter embossing power and die cut that out.  I then die cut the poinsettias using Marianne small poinsettia die in both red and white, created this poinsettia garland.  All finished off with some red start gems.  Hope you like this.  Thanks for stopping by.  Take care.

White Christmas

Hi fellow crafters and followers.  Hope you are all well and getting ready for Christmas.
Today's post is the first of my DT cards for the new challenge down at My Craft Creations.
I began with a plain C5 white card base, followed by a piece of white glitter card followed by another piece of plain white card which I pricked all around the edges.  I then embossed a piece of centura pearl white card.  I stamped the verse with WOW glitter embossing powder and die cut using a spellbinders die which I weaved white ribbon around.  I matted that onto another diecut red mirri card.  The flowers are all die cut using white centura pearl card and I have used a mixture of Marianne dies and spellbinders dies.  Finished off with a red mirri card candi.
There will be another DT sample tomorrow and do pop over to My Craft Creations and enter the challenge it is a super prize.
Thank you for stopping by and do take care.

Happy Christmas

Hi crafters and followers.  Well Wednesday is here and todays card is scheduled so hopefully it has gone okay.  I am a little nervous now, early rise tomorrow as I have to be at the hospital by 0700 tomorrow for my shoulder operation.  Should be out on Friday and then I am supposed to rest, rest and more rest.  Looks like it will be major catching up on my readying and for crafting I will have to settle with watching create and craft until January.
Today's card is one I really enjoyed making because of the flowers and swirls.  I started with a 6x6 white base card and drew the red stitching around the edges.  I then took another piece of white card cut to fit inside the faux stitching which I embossed  using a holly mask.  I stamped the Happy Christmas using WOW embossing glitter powders and die cut that out.  The dies are Marianne craftables.  I then fished around in my paper stash and found and used those bits and pieces that aren't big enough for matting but you don't want to throw away because that is not what crafters do!  I die cut the three poinsettias using spellbinders dies which are brilliant for those bits and pieces.  All finished off with a couple of swirls die cut with gold mirri card.
Hope you like it.  Thank you for your comments and for stopping by.  Take care.

Baubles Galore

Good evening folks, hope you are all well.
So, I am all decorated up for Christmas, well my house is. My cards are all done, addressed and h, my pressies are all bought and my cakes have one more feed to do before decorating.  Now you may all be thinking, gosh what is this woman playing at, after all we are only at the beginning of December.  Well my fellow crafters, I will be having an operation on my shoulder on Thursday and will be completely out of action so far as my right arm is concerned for at least 3 weeks so I have had to be organised to a point this year.  Wednesday will be my last live post, all the others will be scheduled.  Apparently I will not be able to use my right arm for anything repetitive which means no computer.  No crafting either, I tell you folks I will be like a bear with a sorehead.  Hubby is soooooooooo not looking forward to this month from that point of view.
In tonight's card I used some stamps from Kanban and the holly leave were from another set but I can't remember whose stamps they were.  The baubles were from Kanban and I have stamped them in black versafine and clear embossed them.  The holly leaves were stamped the same but coloured in with my sakura pens, cut out and placed with silicone glue.  The holly leaves I stamped and embossed using gold wow embossing powders and finished off with sakura red pen for the berries.  Some matting and layering with gold card, all finished off with green ribbon and a few gems.
I have to admit this is one card that I really liked myself so I do hope agree.  Thank you for stopping by and for your comments.  Take care.

More Poinsettias

Good afternoon crafters and followers.  Well I know I haven't posted for a few days but there is a very good reason.  I have been away.  Hubby and I decided to have a few days away in a lovely country cottage, woodburner and all in a gorgeous village called Clawton just outside Holsworthy in Devon.  We went Tuesday and returned yesterday and we have a wonderfully restful few days.  Got up late, long walk with Enya, lovely lunchies in nice country pubs, pottered around and then back to the cottage for a relaxing, very fattening dinner, mulled wine and all in front of a roaring wood burner.  We visited Dartington Crystal for some christmas shopping and Boscastle, I needed another leather belt and there is a shop down there which sells gorgeous leather goods.  Nice restaurant there too.  So today our christmas has arrived and we are putting our decs up - yes I know it is early but I just love Christmas and all the build up and everything so we get our decs up early.
My post today is a very christmassy christmas card.  The image is a stamp from Joanna Sheen stable.  It is quite a large stamp which I stamped with versafine black and then clear embossed.  I coloured it in with a mixture of spectrum noirs and sakura pens and then carried out a bit of matting and layering.  The flowers are marianne dies, the small and large poinsettia all finished off with a couple of swirls again from marianne dies.  The is an 8x8 card.  Hope you like it.  Thanks for stopping by and do take care.  See you soon.

Children With Holly

Good evening all, hope you are well.  A quickie card today and as you will no doubt note a simple little card.  The big flourishes are Kanban stamps embossed with wow glitter powders.  The verse is from Inkylicious and again embossed with WOW glitter embossing powders.
Hope you like it.  Thanks for stopping by and do take care.

Poinsettia Heaven

Good evening crafters and followers.  Sunday again, work tomorrow, yuck.   That is not strictly true as I actually enjoy my job and as I work part time and from home I have a brilliant job.  I am also lucky enough to work for a good company but if I am honest I would prefer to be a lady of leisure and be able to craft at my leisure, but needs must and I have lots of crafting goodies to by so I must work or a little while longer - hee hee.
Well my card tonight is an 8x8.   I used a set of poinsettia stamps from Dimension Stamps.  I began with the leaves, twigs etc and stamped those out in a mixture of pine distress inks and twig distress ink.  The poinsettia actually comes in two separate stamps the leaves part and the flower part finished off with the stamen part.  I stamped and coloured in the leaves and then stamped the flowers twice and coloured those in with spectrum noir pens finishing off with the stamen.  All of these were stamped with versafine and clear embossed.  The berries I coloured in with sakura pens.  Some matting and layering  and all finished off with a little sentiment embossed with gold embossing powder.
Thank you for stopping by and checking out my blog.  Take care.

Winter Wonderland

Good evening everyone, hope you are all enjoying your Saturday and I hope this awful rain has caused you too many problems.  Well I am sitting here watching Strictly Come Dancing whilst typing this and just got bored with one of the dancers - hope it gets better.
My card tonight is a stamp from the Swalk Winter Cheer range which was released by crafters this time last year.   I did my usual and inked with versafine black ink and then clear embossed.  I then coloured it in with a mixture of spectrum noir and copic pens.  I have used some matting and layering with blue card and silver mirri card.   I have also embossed using a mask which I am not sure you will see that clearly so sorry.  The sentiment came with the main image stamp and the snowflake is a spellbinder die using a really sparkly mirri card.
Hope you like tonights card.  Thank you for stopping by and for all your lovely comments on my previous cards, they are so lovely and I really do appreciate them.  Do take care.  See you soon.

Kanban Santa

Good evening fellow crafters and followers.  Well I am well and truly recovered from my journey to Manchester yesterday.  Gosh it was awful, 6am in the morning, dark rain, wind and the spray was dreadful especially from the HGV.  I do love Thursdays as someone my followers know because it is the start of my weekend.  Heaven.
My card today is using a set of stamps from Kanban released last year on QVC.  They were lovely stamps.  Santa has been coloured in with spectrum noirs.  The swirls were embossed with gold embossing powder.
Hope you like this one. Thanks for stopping by.  You take care.

Christmas Bells

Good evening fellow crafters and followers.  Today's post is the last of my DT samples for Sheila's challenge at My Craft Creations - All Things Christmas.
I have used some co-ordinations card, embossed and sanded this off.  Co-ordinations card is so brilliant for this technique. The image is a stamp from creative expressions Christmas set which I stamped in black versafine and clear embossed it.  I then coloured it in with a mixture of copics and spectrum noirs.  A couple of flourishes in gold mirri card, all topped off with a couple of card candi and bobs your uncle!
This is such a beautiful stamp and I really did enjoy making this card.  Do pop along and check out the challenge - it really is worth having a go for such a wonderful prize.
Thank you so much for stopping by and checking me out today.  Do take care and thank you in advance for any comments you choose to make.

Presents for Snowie

Well good evening folks, hope you have all had a good day today.  Would you believe I have almost finished my Christmas shopping - yep - well to be fair I don't have that much to buy present wise but I have the most important ones now so the pressure is off.  Wonderful feeling isn't it?
Well, tonight's post is another DT sample I made for Sheila's Challenge at My Craft Creations - All Things Christmas hope you have entered, it is a super prize.
I began with my normal 6x6 plain white card and some matting and layering.  Again the backing paper was a freebie from the Making Cards Magazine - Christmas edition from last year I think.  Do you know, I raided all my making cards magazines and you would be surprised how much backing paper I now have, I haven't had to print our any Christmas backing paper this year - brill.

The image is a stamp I have had for a few years now but I love it so much it comes out every Christmas.  I think it a Sugar Nellie one.  I stamped in black versafine ink and clear embossed it.  I then coloured it in with a mixture of copics and spectrum noir pens.   I also used a sakura pen in places to give a hint of glitter.  I then cut him out, shaped him and placed him on the nestie using glue gel.
The poinsettia is die cut using mirri card and Marianne dies as were the leaves.  All finished off with some ribbon and another die cut from memory box.
Hope you like tonight's post.  Thank you for popping by and good luck in the challenge.

Shopping with Daisy

Good evening crafters and followers.  Hope you are well this evening.  Well have I had a busy weekend finishing a scrapbook which will be a birthday pressie for a friend and finishing an exploding box.  Still, all finished now so that takes the pressure off.
My post today is the first of my DT samples for Sheila's November Challenge at My Craft Creations.
I started with a 6x6 plain white base card followed by a little bit of matting and layering.  The backing paper is from an old Making Cards Magazine.
My topper is a digi stamp from Joanna Sheen's Christmas Daisy CD Rom and I coloured her in with spectrum noir pens.

The die cut is from spellbinders and I have cut a faux nestie out of co-ordinations card.  The 2nd nestie has also been embossed and again a faux nestie cut out.  The flowers etc are all from Marianne dies.
This digi stamp lovely to colour in and I finished her off by putting some white glitter onto the fur of her hat and her pom pom.
Hope you like her and do pop over to Sheilas and join the challenge.  Remember you have to be in it to win it.

Thanks for stopping by and do take care.

Joy

Good evening peeps, hope you are all well.  Gosh Thursday has gone and going into Friday - these weeks are going so quickly don't you think?
Well, today's post is a christmas card.  I started with a 6x6 plain white base, followed by some red card and then some pale green co-ordinations which I embossed and sanded off.  I do love co-ordinations for that, it always looks lovely.
The flowers and leaves are a mixture of spellbinders and marianne dies.  I then embossed a piece of white card with a dotty embossing folder and matted that onto somemore red card.  I stamped out the Joy and embossed that.  This was stamped from a christmas alphabet from dimension stamps.  I cut them out, shaped them and placed them onto the dotty embossing.
It was a Joy to make this card.  Hope you like it.  Thanks for stopping by.  Take care.

My post today is a swalk stamp from the winter collection.  She was stamped on watercoloured  card and coloured in with whisper pens.  Some matting and layering of green card, white card and then some patterned vellum which was a freebie from a making cards magazine.  I have secure that with brads all finished off with an ivy diecut from Memory Box.
Thanks for stopping by and take care.

Jayne

Good evening peeps, hope you are all well today.
My post today is a birthday card which was made to order for a customer.  The recipient is a dancer hence the ballerina.  She was also of a special age, you know the one, but she would not want to have advertised the fact.
I started with an 8x8 plain white card, matted some deep pink card followed by some centura pearl which was embossed with one of the new 8x8 crafters companion embossing folders which I might add a absolutely fantastic.
The image is a decoupage image printed onto photo glossy paper and was from a FeeJ CD Rom called Ballet Belles.   The flower is a spellbinders die and I printed out one of the matching backing papers also from the cd rom.  I then added some swirls in white and gold.
The name Jayne is stamped using the alphabet stamps from Clarity Stamping.  I embossed them with WOW glitter gold embossing powder.  The insert had the ballerina on the loose leaft and the recipients age was included within the verse.
Hope you like this as much as she did.  Thank you for stopping by and looking I really do appreciate it.   Take care.

Humphrey's Mistletoe

Good evening crafters and followers.  I know it has been a couple of days since my last post but I did have a fantastic time at the NEC on Saturday and paid for it on Sunday so I had to recover but it was worth every minute.  It did seem alot busier this time than it was in March this year I have to admit.  It was a great day though, coffee/shopping/coffee/shopping/lunch/shopping/coffee/home.  Loads of gossip and catch up with my mate Wendy who has recently started crafting too.  She used to cross stitch and still does but I eventually got her into stamping and she is so enjoying it.
Well my post today is from the humphrey christmas range as you will no doubt have guessed.  I didn't use these much last year - too many christmas stamps according to my husband - but I soon put him right.  Humphrey was coloured in with spectrum noirs and the layout is a very simple one all finished off with card candi.
Hope you like this.  Thank you for stopping by and do take care.

Christmas Messy Rabbit

Good evening fellow crafters and followers.  Friday is a wonderful day don't you think?  For me it is my day off, but for those folk who work full time it is the start of their weekend - yippee.
You know one thing I do love about Christmas and Christmas crafting is rediscovering stamps that you haven't used for 12 months.  Messy Rabbit here is one of those stamps.  I am not sure whether you can still get this stamp now but it was originally from Joanna Sheen website.  Messy has been stamped in my usual black versafine and then clear embossed.  He was then coloured in with spectrum noirs.  The backing paper as from my crafty stash and with a little bit of matting and layering and a few card candi to finish off.  Hope you like this one.  Thanks for stopping by and take care.

A Christmas Wish

Good evening fellow crafters and followers.  I do so love Thursday's as I know tomorrow is Friday and it's my day off.  I am also getting excited about Saturday because I shall be going to the Hobbycrafts Show at the NEC with my friend Wendy.  Just think a whole girlie day with my chum, having coffee, lunch, coffee some major retail craft therapy and a good old gossip.  A heavenly day.

Well my post today is, to be honest nothing special, but I posted it because it is such a quick card to make.  A bit of matting and layering, I stamped the big C from a large stamp from Dimension Stamps.  The 'hristmas' was also from Dimension Stamps.  I finished it off with some card candi.

It was such a quick card to make but quick cards can look effective, even though I say so myself.
Well, I hope you like this.  Thanks stopping by.  Do take care.

Gingerbread Man

Good evening crafters and followers, hope you are all well today.
Today's post is using an image from an older creative expressions set of stamps.  This gingerbread man is such a cute little chap I couldn't resist using him again this year. I coloured him in with spectrum noirs.  The backing paper was a freebie from a crafting magazine.  In fact this year I have not had to print a Christmas backing out, I just went through all my Christmas crafting magazines and took the papers out of them.  Most of them come from the making cards mag as those papers are always such good quality.  The swirls and snowflake were from Marianne dies and sizzix.
Hope you like it.  Thanks for stopping by and do take care.  See you all soon.

Tuesday 6 November 2012

Kanban Christmas Angel

Good evening crafters and followers.  Well it will be christmas cards for me now starting with this little lady.
I started with an 8x8 plain white base card.  I matted some red card and some green tartan backing paper which was printed from Kameo christmas cd rom - some beautiful backing papers on that one.
I then took a precut nestie and stamped some holly for a background, distressed around the edge with tim holtz antique linen.  I then took a smaller precut nestie and stamped my image.  The image is a stamp from Kanban that I purchased last year in a set from QVC I think.  I stamped the image in black versafine and then clear embossed.  I then stamped another and cut the angel out.  I coloured her face and arms with spectrum  noirs, oh and her head wreath.  I then sprayed her with crafters companion silver spray, shaped her and placed her onto the already stamped image.  I used the same holly stamp for the little sprays each side of the sentiment.  The snow flake at the side is a marianne die.
Hope you like this one.  Thank you for stopping by.  Take care.

Family Time

Hello crafters and followers.  Monday morning has arrived - AGAIN.  Funny how it seems to come around faster than Friday.
My post today is  a SWALK stamp from crafters companion.  This was their winter collection released last year, such a gorgeous collection.  I coloured the image in with whisper pens and stamped it on watercolour card.
The backing paper was from a crafters companion cd rom.  The poinsettias are Marianne dies.
Thank you for stopping by.  Do take care.

With Love

Good evening crafters and followers.  Hope you are all well.
My post tonight is my final DT sample for My Craft Creations - Sketch Challenge.
This is an 8x8 plain white card followed by a piece of plain blue card.  I then embossed a plain sheet of white card using one of crafters new 8x8 embossing folders but before running it through the GC I inked the folder with a Tim Holtz distress ink - squeezed lemonade.  The image is a digi stamp from Joanna Sheens Christmas Daisy and friends, so is you have that CD Rom I am sure you will have realised it is not just for Christmas.  I have coloured her in with spectrum noirs.
The border is spellbinders as is the large Astor flower and leaves.  The sentiment is also a spellbinders and the actual sentiment is a stamp but I cannot remember where that one came The little leaves at the side of the image are Marianne dies as are the tiny corner ones. All finished off with gems.
Hope you like it and do enter challenge it is a super prize and don't forget you have to be in it to win it.  Thanks for stopping by and do take care.

Holiday Joy

Hi crafters and followers.  Hope you are all well tonight.  Phew almost didn't post tonight I have been so busy.  This year I have designed my mom's christmas cards and her nextdoor neighbours in Serif so I have been busy printing out tonight.
Well today's post is another DT sample I made for My Craft Creations - Sketch Challenge.
This one is an 8x8 white base card.  I have matted some green card and then embossed some centura pearl card using the new embossing folders from crafters companion - the 8x8 ones.  They are absolutely gorgeous and I am so hoping that they will bring more of these out.  Such a brilliant size.
The image is another stamp which was a freebie from one of the craft magazines which is a recent one and I have coloured this one in with copics.  The die cut poinsettias are all spellbinders and marianne dies.  The sentiment was also from the same set of freebie stamps and the swirly border is from sizzix.
Hope you like this one.  Thanks for popping by and do take care.

Best Wishes

Good evening crafters and followers.  Hope you are well today.
My post today is the first of my samples designed for My Craft Creations challenge - Sketch.
This one is a 6x6 white base card followed by a sheet of green card.  I then embossed some white centura pearl card using one of the new 6x6 embossing folders from crafters companion - beautiful isn't?  The image is a stamp which came free with one of this months craft magazines but I am sorry I cannot remember which one, but I can tell you there were two lovely stamps.  I have coloured this one in using spectrum noirs and copics, die cut using spellbinders.  The flowers and leaves are all Marianne dies.  The sentiment is a die from Xcut.  All finished off with a couple of card candi and some gems.
Hope you like it and do join the challenge as there is a super prize. Thanks for popping in and do take care.  There will be another sample tomorrow.

Love is in the Air

Good evening crafters and followers.  Today's post may seem like valentines come early but as it was my 21st wedding anniversary this month I thought this would be suitable for that too.
As you can see it is a DL card and I embossed the card with a hearts embossing texture plate from sizzix.  Inked around the edges of the card with distress inks.  The image is a stamp from Humphrey Corner as you may have guessed and it was coloured in with spectrum noirs.  The diecut is from Xcut and is quite a large die.
Hope you have enjoyed your Tuesday and thank you for popping in.  Do take care.

Give me a Kiss

Good evening crafters and followers.  How are you all today, anyone with that Monday morning feeling that has lasted until Monday evening?
In today's post I have used a delightful couple of stamps from Jayne Nesterenko's Adorable Summer range.  The backing paper was printed from a crafters cd rom but I can't remember which one.  The image has been stamped onto watercolour card and then coloured with whisper pens.  The embellishment flowers were die cut from marianne dies and all finished off with card candi and ribbon.
Thank you for stopping by.  Take care and thankyou in advance for your comments.

Calendula

Good evening crafters and followers. I have enjoyed my Sunday today.  I have to own up to being very lazy and had a little lie in.  I do think the best thing about the clocks going back is waking up to your clock saying 8am and then turning it back to 7am and have that hour all over again.  So, a walk with hubby and our dog Enya, a lazy lunch and then a bit of crafting, I had to finish off an order by completing the insert so that is all ready to be delivered.
Today's post is a birthday card I made for one of my mom's friends.  The stamp is from Dimension Stamps and is one of 12 flowers and months. Such a useful stamp set I have to admit.  The die cuts are marianne dies and spellbinders dies.  The image was coloured in with spectrum noirs.
Well my relaxing Sunday is almost over.  I shall be watching strictly results tonight and then settling down to Downton Abbey which I so enjoy.  Hope you enjoyed your Sunday and hope you like my card.  Thanks for popping by and do take care.

Worlds Best Golfer

Hello fellow crafters and followers.  Hope you have enjoyed your Saturday and any crafting you have had to chance to do.  I have been lucky today I have been crafting happily away with my Skype chums.  I had an order for a 60th birthday card to do by Tuesday.  I am almost finished and no doubt it will appear on here after the birthday.
My post today is definitely for the men in our lives.  The backing paper is from my crafty stash but I do think it was printed originally from a crafters companion cd rom.  My image is a stamp from paintbox poppets called 'just like Daddy'.  I stamped this onto watercoloured card and used my whisper pens to colour him in.  I also added some aran wool I had lying around my craft room.  The sentiment is also from the male accessory set from the same range.
Thank you for popping in and do take care.  Don't forget clocks go back tonight, extra crafting tomorrow - whooppee.

Big Shoes

Hi fellow crafters and followers.  How are you all today, well I hope. I don't know about where you are but here in Birmingham it is going distinctly chilly.  Mind you at least it's not raining.  Plus don't forget the clocks go back this weekend so that's another extra hour of crafting - has to be good.
Today's post was an 8x8 card I made for my mums birthday.  The image is a digi stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil and is gorgeous, it was coloured in with a mixture of Spectrum Noirs and Copics.  The flowers and flourishes were die cut from papers I had in my crafty stash.

Walking my Donkey

Good evening folks.  Well this will be my last summer post, I finally have to admit that whatever summer we had has definitely gone.  So I am now looking forward to winter - yeah right - my nose is sooooooooooooooooo growing!
Well I will admit to quite liking winter in a funny kind of way so long as it is dry and cold.  I tell you, hot flushes certainly make you appreciate the cold weather.
Right enough of my ramblings onto my post for tonight - it is a very simple design with a simply gorgeous stamp.   The backing paper is from the Adorables CD Rom.  A simple bit of matting and layering and we come to the image.  I stamped both images in versafine black ink and clear embossed them.  Both images are stamps from the summer Adorables Set by Jayne Nesterenko.  The donkey I diecut out.  The little boy has been cut out, shaped and positioned so he is holding the rope.  The corners are also part of this range.  They really are lovely stamps and will come out year after year.
Hope you like it and thank you so much for stopping by.  Take care.

Sailor Shirt

Good evening fellow crafters and followers.  Firstly I must apologise for not posting since the 11th October.  Unfortunately some personal issues have stopped me updating my blog.  But hopefully I am back now to posting daily.
So, to start, my post today is a 6x6 card plain white card, followed by a piece of brown pearlised card and then a piece of white card which has been embossed and then distressed using Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz.  I have used another stamp from the Faye Whittaker collection called Sailor Shirt.  I stamped this little lad in sepia versafine and clear embossed him onto watercolour card.  I then watercoloured him in with a brown whisper pen.  I have die cut him out and then distressed the edged with Vintage Photo Tim Holtz distress inks.  My topper has been matted onto a faux die cut in brown. Some brown brads in the corner finished this card off.  Hope you like it.  Thank you for stopping by.  Take care.

Chatting

Good evening fellow crafters and followers.  Well am I glad this week is over and so is my jury service.  Never thought I would be glad to be back to work on Monday.
My post today is another Faye Whittaker stamp.  This one was called Seahorse.  Again another really simple design.  I have stamped on watercoloured card and then used my whisper pens to water colour the image.
Thank you for stopping by and do take care.

Look Nan this is Teddy

Good evening fellow crafters and followers.  Well, I have had another dreadful day, I must admit I will be glad when this week is over.  I have been on jury duty this past 2 weeks and it is not something I have enjoyed or would want to do again.  I appreciate it's important but I shall be glad when it is over.
Today's post is another one to remind me of summer, even though we didn't get much of it - hee hee.  This is a very simple layout.  The topper is from Faye Whittaker range via Joanna Sheen andis called Washroom Teddy.  This was stamped onto watercolour card and then coloured in with whisper pens.
Hope it remind you of good, if ever so short, summer.  Thanks for stopping by and do take care.

Summer Leaves

Good evening crafters and followers.  Firstly let me apologise for missing a couple of days in my posts.  I have been busy during the day and haven't been every evening.  I do hope you are all well.  Hopefully I will be back to normal next week.
My post today is an attempt to stay feeling summery - although why I don't know, it has been cold today.
As you can see I have started with a plain white 6x6 card base, embossed a pieceof white card and then distressed around the edged.  I also inked up another piece of white card with different distress inks, stamped the leaves in brown versfine and clear embossed them before cutting them out and arranging them thus.  The verse is also stamped with brown versafine, clear embossed, die cut and distressed.  I have layered everything up and finished it off by spraying it with glitter spray from crafters companion.  To be honest I was messing about but I was pleased with my 'messing about.'  Hope you like it too.  Thanks for stopping by and do take care.

Two Little Boys

Hi peeps, hope you are all well.  Sunday has come around again, yes I know it comes around every weekend but it just seems to come around so quickly nowadays - probably my age.
My post today is using stamps from Faye Whittaker All Our Yesterdays - Sailing Boat.  There were released by Joanna Sheen and are lovely stamps to have in your stamp stash.
The backing paper, I think, was printed from a crafters companion cd rom but I honestly cannot remember which one.  The two little boys were stamped onto watercolour card and then watercoloured using whisper pens and cut out.  The white die cut was embossed and I then shaped the two little lads and placed them onto the white die cut.  All finished off with some card candi.  Another very simple layout but, hopefully you will think it effective.
Do take care and thanks for popping by.

Kittens in the Garden

Good evening crafters and followers.  I do hope you are all enjoying your Saturday.  I have had a very relaxing day, bit of shopping, delivered a card that had been ordered and then sorted out my new spellbinders and embossing folders.  Yes I have had a little spend - tut tut!
My post today was a birthday card for a friend who likes cats.  I am not too good a colouring in animals and anyway I don't have a stamp with cats on so I went back to Joanna Sheen CD Rom and found this topper and matching backing paper.   A bit of matting and layering and then all finished off with marianne dies and, yes, wait for it, some gems.
A very simple layout but I hope you like it.  Thanks for taking a look at my blog.  Take care.

Treasured Baby Boy

Good evening fellow crafters and followers.  Boy am I glad this week is over.  Hopefully I can get some crafting done at the weekend.  Hope you are looking forward to a good weekend.
My post tonight is, as you can see, a baby card.  The image is a gorgeous stamp from the latest SWALK stamp range from crafters companion.  I coloured him in with a mixture of spectrum noirs and copics.  Die cut him out and distressed around the edges.
The backing paper is from, I think, one of the beatrix potter cd roms.
So, I started with a 6x6 plain white card followed by pale blue card and then the backing paper.  I then took a piece of co-ordinations card, embossed and sanded that down.  I have also embossed some of the blue card and then wrapped white ribbon around.  The sentiment was included with the stamp set.
SWALK are such a beautiful stamp range and really are fantastic to colour in.
Thank you for stopping by and also for any comments you choose to make, your comments are always welcome and appreciated.  Take care.

Powered by Fairy Dust

Good evening all.  Hope you are all well and have had a good day.
My post today is a stamp from Sheena Douglas and was released not too long ago.
Little Miss Fairy Dust has been stamped in black versafine ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder.  She has then been coloured in with a mixture of spectrum noirs and copics.
The backing paper was stamped with a pearlised ink.  The poinsettia stamp is from Chloe's Crafts.   The stamp has three leaves and this one has been stamped out three times and then layered up.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set as Little Miss Fairy Dust.  She really was a lovely image to colour in and could be used for non christmas events too.
Well hope you like her and thank you for stopping by.  Take care.

Busy Doing Nothing

Good evening crafters and followers.  Hope you are all having a better week than me.
Tonight's post is a 6x6 card using a stamp from Sheena Douglas - she released this one last year I think.
The background paper is also a stamp from the same set.  The little girl has been stamped on watercoloured card and watercoloured in with whisper pens.  The sentiment also came with the set.  Such a useful stamp set and beautiful to colour in or use backing papers for the dress.  Very versatile.
The flower was from marianne dies.
Hope you like it.  Thanks for stopping by. Take care.

Kite

Good evening crafters and followers.
My post today is a using a stamp from Joanna Sheen.  The stamp is from All Our Yesterdays and is I think beautiful.
Those of us who cross stitch will know Faye Whittaker well but when she released stamps via Joanna Sheen I for one was delighted.
This stamp is called Kite and I have stamped it with versafine black, clear embossed it and then watercoloured it with whisper pens.  The actual kite was also part of the stamp set.  I did stamp the kite tail on the topper and then stamped and cut out the actual kit so it all looks like one.  The backing paper is from my crafty stash and that is all finished off with card candi.
This card was a delight to make and I do hope you like.  Thank you for stopping by.  Take care.

Secret Garden

Good evening crafters and followers.  Hope you are all well today.
My post for today is a very simple layout but a beautiful stamp.  The backing paper is from my crafty stash.  The corners are marianne die corners.  The image is from Jayne Nesterenko's Summer Adorables range which is such good value.  This was stamped onto watercolouring paper and watercoloured with whisper pens.  Topped off with a few gems.
Hope you like it and thank you for stopping by.  Take care.

Raining

Good afternoon crafters and followers.
Today's post is a little stamp from Sugar Nellie and is very suitable for the weather we have been having don't you think?
It is also a very simple design.  The backing paper is one printed from the SWALK cd rom by Crafters Companion, the first one I think.  The image has been coloured in with spectrum noirs.
Because she is sitting down, I cut around her legs and then placed the spellbinders nestie behind her legs which meant when die cut her legs are dangling outside of the nestie.
I do hope you like her.  Thank you for taking a look at my blog.  Take care.

Scatter The Seeds

Good evening peeps, hope you are all well today.
My post today was made as a birthday card for a friend who was 80 last week.
I started with a 6x6 plain white base card. Matted some pale pink card followed by some white card which I embossed using a texture place from sizzix.  I then stamped the verse using pink embossing powder.  The verse is from Inkylicious.  That is also matted onto some pink card.
The flower topper is made using stamps from Dawn Bibby's range, stamped with black versafine and embossed then coloured with spectrum noirs, cut out, layered up and finished with a card candi.  The leaves are a mixture from Dawn Bibby range and from the Glitter Girls.  All the leaves again were stamped using green versafine and clear embossed then coloured using spectrum noirs and cut out.  I then used a small circle of spare card as a base, put a large splodge of pinflair glue and simply arranged the leaves into the splodge finishing off with the flower and just left it to dry.  Making it that way, independently of any card, I was able to make a few of different colours and put them away as toppers for another day.  I then finished the card off with some gems.
Hope you like it.  Thanks for looking and do take care.
